I am sad to say my neighbour is back in hospital so my craft time will be very short or none existent for the time being with visits to the hospital etc. However, I have got posts scheduled for the next week or two so fingers crossed!
For today's post I am still in the Teal mode, I love this colour card but I really must purchase some more coloured card as well as white!
For this one I used my model paste through the stencil again and added Diamond Snow before it dried so as you can imaging this has quite a bit of sparkle on it! Do remember if you use any paste through your stencils to place them in warm water straight away so they don't get ruined as it dries quicker than you think!
For the background I embossed some White card then on the reverse I inked it up with my Versamark Glue pad and heat embossed it with Artic Bay Lustre, something else I am running out of lol!
I matted and layered these with more White and Teal card.
On the side I added some Pale Blue Seam Binding Ribbon making a flat bow, I inked up a wooden embellishment and covered it in Teal Glitter before placing it in the center of the ribbon.
There you have the finished card.

So sorry to hear about your neighbour Jacquie, I hope she makes a quick recovery. Your card is beautiful. I love teal it was the colour of the dress I wore when Dave and I got married. Love the sparkle behind that gorgeous die cut, I have some Arctic Pearl Lustre I wonder if its the same? Susan xx
ReplyDeleteMorning Jacquie, hope your neighbour recovers soon. A lovely die that you have used for your card today. Teal is a great colour that can be used for male or female cards. Thanks for the kind comments on my blog. Have a good day. Janice xxx http://createdbyjan.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHi Jacquie,
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful design, I love the background, I have never used the dimensional paste before but it looks very effective, I think I saw Julia Watts using something similar on the Craft Clinic on Create and Craft yesterday, luckily I just flicked past and caught her as I really don't watch the channel very much these days, they only seem to sell a limited number of products constantly! I watch if Creative Expressions is on though, anyway enough waffle!
Sorry to hear your neighbour is poorly, sounds like she is lucky to have you as a neighbour to care for her!
Sending hugs your way Jacquie,
Sandra xxxxx

This is such a gorgeous card Jacquie, I sure do love the glimmer! My best wishes to your neighbour for a speedy recovery! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jacquie! Just popped in to answer your question regarding my wood plank background. No patterned paper and no actual wood strips. It's just plain paper that I paint and stain and ink up and cut into strips to make it look like wood. It's a messy business, but I do love the look of it! big hugs :)
DeleteBrilliant design. Beautiful colours. sending wishes to your neighbour....xx{The Journey is the Start – my personal blog}
ReplyDeleteHi Jaquie your card is beautiful, love the stencil and the choice of colour. Great embossing. Hugs Jennifer xx
