Morning my crafting friends, sorry I have been absent of late but I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and I wish you all a Very Happy New Year, I hope 2015 brings you all joy, hope and prosperity.
We had our usual Christmas at my Daughter's in Cornwall, I do love it there, thankfully after all the hassle and upset we had before Christmas I am glad to say we did get to spend Christmas all together, for those of you who are wondering what on earth I am going on about we had a lot of things happen before Christmas, the worse two was on the Saturday my Daughter was involved in a car crash on her way back from Chester to Cornwall, thankfully she only suffered concussion but had to stay in Worcester for the night, glad to report she is fine now, also on the Saturday we had to rush round to Ian's Mom & Dads as his Mom was having a very bad panic attack, she had previously been told she may have Cancer so this has bought on a series of attacks with her worrying about where else it may have spread to, then on the Sunday we had to have her rushed into hospital with a suspected stroke, it turned out that she had a bad water infection which can lead to a mini stroke which is what she had, she has been instructed to drink plenty of water, something she never does. She is at home and is fine, we are now awaiting on results.
Enough gloom and doom its a new year and I want to show you what my wonderful Son made for me as one of my Christmas presents, I have always loved Thumper, my favourite Disney Character and this is what he has drawn for me and had printed. Needless to say I shall be getting it framed and hung up on my wall.
This measures 20 X 16 inches and has a White boarder around it but I had to weigh the corners down to photograph it so I cropped the edges off! Not literally just the photograph!!!
I am so pleased with this, he has added certain elements that mean something to him, the background being a photograph he took when he was in Morzine for a Winter season, he loves birds and anything oriental so he drew this Japanese bird and of course Thumper! Since his very first Christmas I have always bought him any Thumper cuddly toy that the Disney stores bring out, they do have a new one this year so he will get that for his Birthday in January lol! No matter how old he is, he gets one!!!
Anyhow, I hope you all had what you wished for, I had loads of pressies this year, including some very lovely Sue Wilson dies and a Tiffany lamp from Hubby.
Enjoy your New Year Celebrations and stay safe. My next post will be on the 4th when I start with my new DT for http://lilpatchofcraftyfriends.blogspot.co.uk/, I do hope you come and take a look.
Thank you for looking, Jacquie xxx

Happy New Year to you and yours Jacquie. Oh I am with big sister Patricia about using your beautiful picture as a topper, what a fab Christmas gift, made all the more as it was made for you by your son, our Gillian has done this sort of thing for me over the years, I treasure each and everyone of her drawings and pictures. Thank you for all your lovely comments you have left for me over the year. Oh sorry meant to say I an glad your daughter is ok after her crash, Gillian had someone run into her months ago and I worry so much about her driving, she does nearly a 1,000 miles and more a month, your MIL. Happy New Year to you too. It's quite a relief that you've lived through all those shocks striking the ones you love. I'm sorry to hear about those, as well, and I hope they are beyond a far better state now, with proper insurance and medical support at their disposal. Thanks for sharing that with us! I wish you all the best!
