Hello all crafters, those of you who love messy crafting and all Sheena will be pleased to know she has some shows over the next day in a One Day Wonder on Hochanda starting at 8pm tonight. This is showcasing her new stamps titled 'TORN'.
Here are a few samples I have made using these stamps as well as stamps from previous collections of Sheena.
The first one shows her 'Torn Clematis' I have used it along with her Little Bit Sketchy Weathered Brick stamp. This has all been coloured using Aquatints with a little Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen on the flower heads.
The second card is showing the blank 'Torn' stamp where you can put anything you like in the center of it, I cut the middle out and used it as an aperture to show the scene inside the card, I stamped the Clematis flower on the front so it continued inside.
This is the view inside, all painted with Aquatints again, I have used some old stamps of Sheenas (Trees) to go alongside the new 'torn flowers'. With the Torn Flowers you do get another single flower of stem so you can use them separately without the 'torn' bit if you like as i have done here!
Lastly, it had to be done lol! Using the blank Torn stamp I stamped the body of the skeleton from the DOTD stamps inside the 'hole' masked it with drawing gum, once dry painted the hole Black then removed the drawing gum. One of the new 'Torn' stamps are some skulls in the 'torn' area, they have an extra separate skull which is what I have used here, I stamped it, cut it out and added it onto the body to make it look as if he is coming through the center! I cut along the edge of each side of the torn bits to poke through the skeleton hands from the skeleton of the DOTD to look as though he is holding open the torn area. The background was painted with Aquatints with Salt sprinkled over the top whilst still wet and left to dry, this gives a lovely speckled background. The sentiment stamps are also in with the stamps.
I hope you have liked the sneak peak of some of my samples, I shall show the canvas I did tomorrow. Do look in on one of the shows to view all the stunning work by the design team and to view Sheena's demos.
Thank you for looking, Jacquie xxx
