Morning crafting friends and a very warm welcome to my newest followers, good to have you on board, I would also like to welcome anyone who comes just to browse it would be lovely if you left a comment to let me know what you think of my creations and of course if you have a link back to any of your work then do please leave the details.
Now this card is one I have not made in a while, its for my Hubby Ian's Nephew who is 20 today, I sorted a card out for him but then Ian said haven't you got anything a bit younger!!! No I said but I'll make one, this was the day it had to go into the post for him to receive it today! Anyway, it was a bit of a rush job and at the time I did not know whether he liked football, thankfully he does.
I decided on a double easel card and I kept the colours to two simple ones, basically to go with the football images.
I folded in half a sheet of Cobalt Blue card landscape, then cut up the middle of one side and folded each side back to make the two easel sides. Using Spring Green card I matted the bottom and embossed some with Beautiful Bunting embossing folder before attaching them on to the two folded sides. Hope all this makes sense lol!
I attached another piece of Cobalt Blue card on top of the Green at the bottom then placed the ribbon strip across the middle with foam pads to raise it up. Underneath that I added the sentiment with foam pads and two footballs either side, all had been matted onto Spring Green card.
On the two easel sides I attached two football images that I had mounted onto Cobalt Blue Card, the rectangle one I put on at an angle and the oval I put on straight.
I stamped a small verse on the back.
There you have the finished card, hopefully he will like it?

ReplyDeleteI'm a bit crap when it comes to the guy ones. I just try not do them lol. I also struggle with the easel cards too.
Afternoon Jacquie, sometimes when you have do a card quickly, it turns out better than if you had loads of time to do one. A smashing card for a man. Hope he likes it. Janice x
