Happy Anniversary

 Morning crafters,

I have recently gone through some pictures of old cards that I have made and decided to show one or two of them, this being one of them lol! Now even after all this time I am still not sure whether I like this one or not, maybe its a bit too fussy, it was just 'playing' & 'experimenting', some things work others don't, you can usually make your mind up either way can't you? However, with this one I never could! Do any of you have this dilemma?

Anyhow, I am showing this one today so do let me know what you think.

I started as usual with my 8 x 8 base White card, using another piece of White card I stamped randomly with JustRite Background -Elegant Fronds, Artemio Clear Stamps-ref No 10001196 (these were the swirls & birds) and Cardmaking & Papercraft - Diary of an Edwardian Lady free stamps (poppies) using Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Crushed Olive, Black Soot, Peacock Feathers and Fired Brick, then inked all round the card with Peacock feathers. I cut a length of Gold Ribbon from Fantastic Ribbons.com colour D2066 and attached this onto the card sticking it round the back. I then matted this onto my base card.

With a strip of White card I ran this through the Spellbinders M-Bossibilities Folder - Tweets and Twigs. I inked over the top slightly and more around the edge with Crushed Olive Ink.

With a piece of Create and Craft Pearlescent card-Lime Green I die cut the center out with Spellbinders Nestabilities Lables 18, I matted the frame onto the embossed card with the aperture showing the embossed card.

Out of some blue paper (sorry cannot remember where this came from) I die cut two flourishes from Spellbinders Venetian Accents and placed these on the top and bottom of the Green card as shown, I attached this to my main card on the left side.

Using some paper from Grace Taylor Blossom Scrapbook Pad I die cut a circle from Spellbinders Nestabilities - Splendid Circles and stamped my sentiment on top using JustRite Large fancy Sentiment stamps with Tim Holtz Distress Ink- Black Soot. I attached this on top of the ribbon as seen.

There you have the finished card.

Spray of Poppies

 Hello Crafters, Thought I would give you a rest today from Christmas cards lol! This is one I experimented with Sue Wilson's idea of micro beading over stamping and gilding flakes, I must admit I do like the effect you are left with, a frosted look.

I decided to try with some Creative Expression Foundation Card - Grey rather than the usual White to start with, I had a lovely Poppy stamp that was a free gift with a magazine - Cardmaking & Papercraft 'The Diary of an Edwardian Lady' that I had had for a while but not used so I stamped this onto the Grey card using IndigoBlu - Flitterglue and added some Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Flakes - Persian Dawn, I then coloured in the Poppies with Letraset Flexi Marker - Berry Red.

I stamped over this with JustRite Lace Oval Frame Background Stamp and heat embossed with Papermania Embossing Powder - Seafoam White. I then placed a piece of Double Sided Adhesive over the top and die cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities Grand Decorative Ovals, I removed the cover from the adhesive and coated it in Creative Expressions Micro Beads.

 With some Crafters Companion Centura Pearl - Silver card I embossed it using Sue Wilson Embossing Folder - Secret Garden, I rounded the corners and attached this to my base Grey card. With more Grey card I stamped using JustRite Background Stamp - Dotted Fronds with my Versamark Ink Pad and heat embossed with Papermania Embossing Powder - Seafoam White, I rounded the corners of this and matted it onto my card.

I attached the oval frame in the center as my focal point and attached a Red Bow (Own Stash) underneath.

Onto a piece of White card I stamped my sentiment from Sheena Douglass Little Bit Magical - Knowledge' stamp set in Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Black Soot, I chose this from this particular set as it was the only small stamp I had to fit in the die cut lol! Along with another piece of Grey card I die cut both with Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags Two, I arranged the sentiment so it was on the White embossed card underneath the Bow.

To finish the card off I added some Habico Self Adhesive Flat-backed Pearls in each corner on the White embossed card, and there you have the finished card.

Warm Christmas Hugs!

Morning Crafters, sorry another Snowman card today, very similar to yesterdays, the card is just not cut into two! It will be the last Snowman card for a little while, there will be more coming but for now don't want to bore you!
This was quite quick and easy to make.

I started with my Basic White 8 x 8 Scalloped Card onto this I matted another piece of White card. With some Creative Expressions Foundation Card - Teal (can't you tell this is my favorite colour card lol!) I stamped Sheena Douglass Little Bit Scenic 'Ornate Snowflakes' and Creative Expressions Un-Mounted Stamps - Winter Greetings sentiment using my Versamark Ink Pad and coated them in Papermania Embossing Powder - Seafoam White.

With some Create and Craft Pearlescent card - Pale Blue I die cut a circle from Spellbinders Nestabilities - Splendid Circles, onto this I matted an image from Crafters Companion The Snowman & Snowdog CD-Rom then mounted this onto the center-right of my card.

With Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA - Teal I placed some 'Pearl Drops' round the edge of the card and let these dry overnight.

 There is my finished card.

Merry Christmas Mr Snowman!

Morning Crafters, May I thank you all for your lovely comments yesterday, much appreciated.

Ang, yes you would cry at the end but its a beautiful animation. Well worth seeing.

I hope this finds you all well. I have another Snowman card for you today.

I started off with my basic 8 x 8 base White Card, onto this I matted a piece of  Creative Expressions Foundation card - Pale Blue, across the middle of this I placed a strip of Double Adhesive and coated it in Own Stash - Iridescent Glitter.

With a sheet of Creative Expressions Foundation Card - Teal I cut in half then cut along the boarder of both pieces of card using Spellbinders Asian Accents. On each piece of card I stamped Sheena Douglass Little Bit Scenic - Ornate Snowflakes using my Versamark Ink Pad and coated them in Papermania Embossing Powder - Seafoam White. I also stamped my sentiment from Crafty Impressions Clear Stamp 'Christmas Snowflake Sentiments' onto the card with my Versamark Ink Pad and once again coated it in Papermania Embossing Powder - Seafoam White. I then attached both halves of the card onto my card top and bottom of my glitter strip as seen.

Using some Create and Craft Pearlescent card - Mint Green I die cut a circle out using Spellbinders Nestabilities - Splendid Circles, from the Crafters Companion The Snowman & Snowdog CD-Rom I printed a sheet of small images and cut one of these out and matted it onto my Mint Green circle card, I then attached this onto my card just off center over the glitter strip.

There you have the finished card.

Winter Cheer

Morning crafters, White Rabbit, White Rabbit, White Rabbit! 1st of the month, anyone else out there do this or is it just crazy me?LOL!

Over the next few days I shall be showcasing my 'Snowman' cards, I LOVE THE SNOWMAN! Apologies for those who do not like it but I have loved it since the first original film came out, my daughter was just one year old and every Christmas I put my kids Toyah & Jon (31 & 25 respectively) through the half hour viewing, for me it would not be Christmas without The Snowman! So you can imagine my excitement when they brought out The Snowman & The Snow dog! Well! Its on my list to buy once the DVD is released and I don't think it will wait till Christmas to be viewed lol!! Anyhow, when Crafters Companion bought out all the goodies I just had to buy those that I could afford, so basically its been the CD-Roms which is where today's card comes from.

• I started with my Basic 8 x8 White Scalloped Card and folded the front diagonally to make an easel card, I trimmed and matted some Crafters Companion Centura Pearl Silver card on the front of the base card.
• I trimmed a sheet of Crafters Companion Centura Pearl Pastel card and matted and layered this onto the center of my base card. I matted another sheet of Crafters Companion Centura Pearl Silver onto the base of the card so it matched the top, matting it just inside the edge of the scalloped card.
• Using some Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA - Gold I added pearls around the edge of the image on the front of the card and put it to one side to dry.
  
• I printed one of the images from the Crafters Companion CD-Rom The Snowman and the Snowdog onto Photo card and printed a sheet of waterfall images onto Photo card and cut these out. With some more Centura Pearl Pastel card, the same colour as I had used on the front, I cut out the waterfall template from the CD-Rom, now obviously you want the nice pearly side showing underneath the images on the card which meant that once you have the template ready and folded you had to attach the images onto the white card at the back, I hope this make sense, if I had attached them to the centura pearl side then I would have had the back of the card showing for the pulley end of the waterfall, of course you could always cover the card with some matching paper if you so wished. This actually was my second attempt as the first one, not thinking, I stuck the whole sides of each image down which meant they did not turn over! I did not realize what I had done till I stuck the last one down then could not believe I had done such a thing lol! You could tell I had not made a waterfall card for quite some time! This sheet of images is really nice as on one sheet you have enough images to make three waterfall cards, there are three sets of images so you can choose which ever takes your fancy. Once I had stuck all the images on the template I trimmed the edge so no white card was showing around the images. I placed the bottom bar onto my main image
  attaching it with two brads from Papermania Large Glitter Brads, placed the waterfall through the bar and stuck down the edge of the first image to the bar so when you pulled the pulley end the waterfall it stayed in place but the images all flicked over. I added a little White Tassel from Llewelyn-Bowen Venaissance Premium Tassel Embellishments  to the pulley so you had something to grab hold of! With this attached I stuck the whole front of the image down, using strong double sided tape, onto the Centura Pearl Pastel card that I had on my base card.
• Now being an easel card I had to place something on the bottom to hold the card up, on the CD-Rom there is a sheet of small round images so printing this off onto Photo paper again, I attached my chosen image to a bit of base card I had die cut out from Create and Craft Pearlescent card - Mint Green using Spellbinders Nestabilities - Splendid Circles, in fact I cut quite a few out with odd bits of the card I had lying around and stuck different images onto each one so I had a stash of them for future use, you will notice these on my other cards over the next dew days lol! I then attached this in place with some double Foam Pads to raise it up and there you have my finished card. I hope you like it?
