Iced Angel

Morning crafters, another Angel card for you today, I love this stamp but then I like Angels.

Today I am off to visit The Tower of London with the Year 7 at our school so that should be eventful! Always wanted to visit there so quite excited myself lol! This will mean a late day back from work so hopefully will get a chance to visit everyone's blog sometime during the evening, I do like to comment on everyone's as I truly appreciate you all welcoming me into the blog world and commenting on my posts.

Now todays card...an inspiration from Sue Wilson.

I started with some Black card and stamped my image from Creative Expressions Singles Christmas-Herald Angel with Versamark, then heat embossed it with Papermania Embossing Powder-Sea foam White.

On deciding what die to use I measured and cut a piece of Crafty nations double sided Adhesive Sheet and placed this onto my image with the Spellbinders Nestabilities Majestic Elements-Majestic Labels Twenty-Five die on top then ran it through the Grand Calibar, it was only then I realized I had forgotten this die cuts out the middle! I had the intention of coating the Angel in Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels-Iced Snow which I continued to do but I chose not to coat the frame the same, I wanted it to stand out, so I covered it in Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Flakes-Persian Dawn.  I attached these together onto some Black card cutting round it leaving a slight edge.

I matted and layered this onto some Crafters Companion Centura Pearl card Gold that I had pierced round the edge, then matted it again onto Crafters Companion Centura Pearl card Silver.
Finally I added a Black satin bow at the bottom and embellished it with a White Pearl Button.
I have not put a sentiment on this but I don;t think it needs one.

There you have the finished card. I hope you like it?

Thank you for looking, Jacquie xxx

Thinking of You

Items Used:
Grand Calibar
Black card
White card
Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Folder-Garden lattice
Spellbinders Nestabilities - Splendid Circles
Justrite Cling - Secret Garden background stamp
Justrite Cling - Large fancy sentiments stamps
Heartfelt Creations Dies - Decorative Lattice Swirl
IndigoBlu Guilding Flakes-Morris Dance
Creative Expressions - Microbeads
                                                                              Cosmic Shimmer Pearl PVA
Double sided adhesive sheet

First I folded an A3 White card in half to form an A4 size card for my base, I then matted and layered some Black card. I put some A4 White card through the Garden Lattice folder to add some interest  before mounting it onto the Black card, cutting it down to size to make sure there was enough space around the edge of the Black card to place Cosmic Shimmer Pearl PVA glue dots to look like pearls. I set this aside to dry.
I then inked the Secret Garden background stamp onto Black card with my versamark pad and covered it with Morris Dance Gilding Flakes, this really stood out against the Black card.
Using more Black card I cut the largest circle from Spellbinders Nestabilities Splendid Circles. I stamped my sentiment onto White card, placed the second circle on top and inked through with Gold pigment ink, I removed the die and covered the card in double sided adhesive, securing the die back on top and cut the circle out using the Grand Calibar, once cut remove the adhesive cover and coat in microbeads to add some texture.

I fixed the White circle on top of the Black circle and put this aside. Out of White card I cut both of the Heartfelt Creations Decorative Lattice Swirl, inked around the edges with my versamark pad and coated these with more Gilding Flakes-Morris Dance, although I did not manage to get much gilding flakes on the edge what I did get I thought made them stand out.

I place the decorative swirls on the right hand side of the card top and bottom, within the center of these I placed the two circles raising them up with foam pads. I then placed my gilded secret garden background feature on the left hand side of the card to finish it off.

The finished dimension is 113/4" x 8 1/2".  Hope you like it?
Thanks for looking, Jacquie xx
