Merry 'Pink' Christmas

Morning my crafting friends, hope this finds you all safe and well.  Thank you for visiting my blog today its much appreciated and I love to visit yours so if you are new and have a blog then please do leave a message and I can return the favour.

Now you might be wondering what on earth am I posting a Christmas card so early for...well I did intend to start them earlier this year but the competition from http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/im-dreaming-of-pink-christmas.html encouraged me to start now lol! Now we all know that Pink is not one of my favourite colours so I don't tend to make many Pink cards even though they are popular but I found it quite satisfying making this, whether it was because it was 'one' colour and I didn't have to think too much or because it was something different being Christmas...who knows lol! My apologies for the poor Photographs as these were taken on my mobile phone as my card for my camera has broken so I am awaiting for the arrival of a new one.

I decided early on I wanted an Oval easel card so I started with the base by folding a sheet of Crafters Companion Centura Pearl card Pastel Pink in half and die cutting with SB Grand Decorative Ovals by placing the Oval above the fold line so as to not cut into it, as this was double card it took a few times of going through the E Bosser before it cut and then Emboss. Once done I folded  the card back on itself so I had the Pink showing on the base rather than the White inside if that makes sense? The top half I folded down to make the easel and to attach the topper too.

I die cut another Oval using the same SB Grand Ovals but this time out of Create and Craft Pink Glitter card, I have had these Glitter cards in my stash for a couple of years now and only really use them at Christmas, as this was a deep Pink it went well with the CC Centura Pink card.

On some White card using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pumice Stone I stamped my image from Do crafts Papermania Enchanted Christmas Stamps, I bought these well over a year ago and never got round to using them last Christmas, there are some lovely fantasy images but I chose the Reindeer carrying the sack of parcels, I coloured him in with Spectrum Noir and Promarkers, I have given him Pink wings and I glittered them up with Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels Iced Snow then die cut him out with one of the SB Grand Decorative Ovals dies and inked through the die with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Victorian Velvet, got to keep it Pink!

I attached this to the center of the Pink Glitter card oval then attached both onto the base card, I needed a stopper for the easel so stamped the sentiment from Do crafts Clear Stamps and die cut it with SB Splendid Circles, I cut a base for it out of the Pink Glitter card using SB Nestabilities Standard Circles, I put these together and attached them to the base card as seen.

My card was almost complete but I felt the topper was a bit plain so out of CC Centura Pink pastel card I die cut two swirly bits from SB Shapeabilities Twisted Metal and Tags Accents, I attached the smaller one at the top of the image with the larger one to the bottom left, I then decided to add some small SB Poinsettia flowers that I had in my stash from last Christmas out of White card and Creative Expressions Blush card, I added some glue to the top of these and dipped them into Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels Diamond Snow, added an Create and Craft Iridescent Gem in the middle of each flower then attached them on the card on top of the large Swirl. I don't think the glitter stands out by these photos so I apologize for that. There you have my completed Pink Christmas Card. I hope you like it?

I am entering this into  http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/im-dreaming-of-pink-christmas.
