Secret Santa!

Hello my crafting friends, so sorry for the long absence again, seems to becoming a bit of a habit lol!

I hope this finds you all safe and well and maybe prepared for Christmas, I am nearly there, present wise at least, still have the food side to sort out but hey shops only close on Christmas day so why worry?!!!

I thought I had posted this project but looking back I see I haven't so here it is!!! It was my Secret Santa present to a work colleague.

I started with two wooden frames and pasted through a stencil with modelling paste and left to dry overnight. I then painted the frames Black and left to dry.

Once dry I lay the stencil over the design again and rubbed Gold Gilding Wax over the pasted design to highlight it then rubbed a little more over the edges of each frame and left to dry.

I then set about making the box to fit, I was hoping to fit them both in one box but  with the size of the frames the card was not wide enough to have a deep box, it only just made being wide enough for one box per frame!

I chose my A3 size card, measured it against the frames to make sure I got the right size and cut off the little bit of excess. I then got my score board and made the box to fit.

To add that bit of luxury I placed a sheet of tissue paper inside each box to wrap the frames in, I placed the two boxes together and tied them up with a big White bow. Using the excess card I had cut off earlier I made a gift tag to match.
There you have the finished gift and it was well received, she loved them.
