African Safari

Morning my crafting friends, hope today finds you all safe and well, not too snowed in I hope, Spring is around the corner...

Today's post is a card I did a while back but have not got round to posting it until now!!!

I have had these stamps by Sheena Douglass for quite a while but have never got round to using them so thought it was about time I did!

I cut a piece of White card to size and painted it with Spectrum Noir Aqua Tint Inks until I got the effect of a sunset. Then using Black Archival Ink I stamped my images on top as seen.

I matted this up with some Kraft card and matted these up onto some Ivory Embossed card then attached them to my base Kraft card .

It was as simple as that, a very quick but effective card to make and the paints do not take long to dry either. I have left a sentiment off for now.

Items Used:

Create and Craft Kraft Card
Crafters Companion Centura Pearl Card Ivory
Sheena Douglass White Stamping Card
Sheen Douglass Little Bit Sketchy African Landscape
Sheena Douglass Embossing Folder Jungle Leaves (not African Safari I know but only one I had that I thought would look okay?!!!)
Spectrum Noir Aqua Tint Paints Bright and Beautiful
Ranger Archival Ink Black

Thank you for looking, Jacquie xxx

  13. Hi Jacquie
Ooooh, just makes me want to burst into that Arsene Wenger song from The Lion King but I don't think my newly recovered throat (or the neighbours for that matter) could take it lol!
Having been lucky enough to do a safari in Kenya, it really reminds me of the.glorious sunrises across the Mara. Beautiful!
    Have a great weekend.
