Santa and his Sleigh

Hello my crafting friends, hope this finds you all safe and well? Thank you for visiting me today I do love reading all your comments.

Now I shall be off here for a while as I have a lot to finish for Sheena and I am going away at the weekend so I will be back before long and I hope you will be too!

Today's Christmas card is another fairly simple one to do, I started by placing some Music Paper on the base card, distressing the edges before sticking it down, then out of a very old paper pad I found some paper with a snowy tree scene over it so I cut out a small piece, distressed the edges and placed this at an angle in the middle of my card.

I printed a picture from the Victorian Christmas CD, this was of an old time father Christmas but in sepia tone so I placed this in the top right corner, in the top left corner I added some pine spruce with pine cones and I tied some jingle bells with red ribbon in a bow to place on top.

In the Range I found a little bag of wooden reindeer so I used these on the card to act as if they were flying through the forest. Santas sleigh was die cut using Red Miri card.

To finish the card I added a little Deco Art snow writer on the sleigh, around the forest paper and on the pine spruce.

Cold Christmas

Hello my crafting friends, hoping you are all well today, once again I can only apologize for the missing information to this card, my PC is now fixed so hopefully it wont happen again but I'm not promising anything lol!

This card was quite a simple one to make, I made a base card using Black card then matted it up with some Silver Glitter card and more Black card.

I cut to size a piece of White card then stamped Sheena's Cozy Christmas stamp in the middle with Black Soot, with some water I painted in the darker areas spreading the ink about. Once dry I highlighted the tops of doors and windows with a Gold pen.

I ran this through an Icicle embossing folder then went over the embossed areas with a Glitter pen.

To finish the card I added some snowflakes that I had made up in my stash.

The First Fall of Snow

Hello my crafting friends, good to have you visit me today. My apologies to those who have visited my blog only to find no information and only images of late! I had scheduled these when my PC was not working so could not do anything about adding the info or removing the post lol! Thank you to those who commented despite lack of information and I am sorry you have this to view again lol! It was much appreciated.

I cut my backing card to fit my base card then using my patterned paper I cut it diagonally so it fit across one corner. In the other corner I added a doily.

I made two snowflakes and added a pearl in the center of both and placed these on opposite corners of the card.

In my stash I had some crystal beads on wire that were recycled from some Christmas crackers, these I placed around the snowflakes and the doily for added interest.

I chose two images from the CD and made these into tags which I attached in the center of the card with a snowflake brad.

To finish the card I added a brass snowflake up in the top right corner of the card

Flying Colours 18th

Hello my crafting friends, good to have your company today, I hope you are all safe and well. I really do appreciate all your comments and I sincerely apologize if I have not got round to commenting on your blog, don't know where the time goes, I have not even been able to do any crafting this past week as I have been busy with 'life' things, they do get in the way of our crafting don't they?

Today I have a card I made for my husbands second cousin for her 18th birthday which was last week.

I knew I wanted the card to be Gold & Purple so I mounted a piece of Plum card onto my White Base card then I cut a piece of Gold card to size and stamped over the edges with Dragonflies, Butterflies and Feathers using my Versa mark glue pad then heat embossed with Gold embossing powder.

I ran this through the Rose Vine embossing folder then inked over the embossed parts with Black Soot, this gave it quite a vintage appearance. I matted this onto my card.

I die cut the decorative square out of more Gold card and placed it in the centre of my card, using the smaller die I die cut this out with more Gold card. I got some sticky numbers 18 and inked them with my Versa mark pad then heat embossed with Purple embossing powder. I stuck these in the middle of the smallest die cut and placed this on top of the larger die cut.

Using Black card I stamped the Butterfly and Dragonfly with Versa mark and heat embossed with Black embossing powder. I then chose some Pebeo  paints and painted the Butterfly and Dragonfly. The irridescent paints really make them stand out, especially on Black card. Once dry I cut these out using a craft knife and glued them into place on the card.

I wanted to put her name on the card so using Plum card and the Alphabet bunting I die cut the letters needed, stuck them onto some ribbon and placed them on the card as seen. There you have the finished card.

Elegant Reindeer

Hello my crafting friends, I hope this finds you all well? Well here we are now in the second month of the year already, doesn't time fly?

Maureen  it's lovely to hear from you as it is from everyone, you are missed. Don't worry if you missed posts they will still be there lol! I love hearing from everyone, sadly I don't have much time to comment on others posts anymore. So do please keep commenting whenever you can.

I am back with more Christmas cards, I have managed to make more so far this year than I ever did last year lol!

For this card I actually started by cutting out the Bauble from a piece of card I had painted with Aquatints landscape using the Darkest Blue, I then ran it through the reindeer forest embossing folder.

I already had the reindeer die cut in my stash, I had cut it out with double sided adhesive then coated it in glamour dust.

I cut a piece of card big enough to fit the bauble onto, placed more double sided adhesive on it and ran it through a snowflake embossing folder, I removed the outer sheet and again covered in glamour dust, sadly this lost all the detail of the snowflake embossing. I matted this onto some Dark Blue hammer card and put it to one side.

I made an 8x8 square card out of two sheets of Dark Blue hammer card, cut to size some White card to fit on top then ran this through the Christmas time embossing folder, I attached this on top of the Blue card then placed my reindeer bauble on top in the center.

To finish the card I made a little sentiment and placed this at the bottom of the card as seen.
